How to tackle mosquito menace

I wrote to Hindu, Metro Plus for the topic "How to tackle mosquito menace" , to be published on March 5. But it did not get published. So I decided to put it in my blog.

Water stagnation in the road cause breeding of mosquitoes. Most of us dump organic wastes with other less decomposable wastes. This delays the decomposing of organic wastes. This huge dump of garbage piled up on the streets causes water stagnation leading to breeding of mosquitoes. We should avoid dumping organic wastes with other wastes. Instead, we can dump the organic wastes in soil or flower pots with soil. By this we can make manure out of organic wastes. Also in our houses mosquitoes hide in unused goods. We have to keep our house clean with less goods.

In my house we prepare manure out of organic wastes.
