Racing The Wind was the second book I read. Jody' family arrives in the rain forest of Venezuela to see some of the pink river dolphins called botos. These dolphins are of rare kind and less social and hence she wonders if she will ever find any of them...First time I heard that dolphins live in rivers and there are variety of dolphins and they vary in size and shape. Also I understood that they are
endangered species because of poachers and other environmental threats.
The interesting thing I read about dolphins are that they recognize people and also guide people to find their way when they get lost in mid of water. This reminded me of the story I have read about a dophin called Pelorous Jack who guided the way for ships to cross French Pass for many years.
